First off, a bit THANK YOU to all students helping with Girard Fall Festival Activities, it was a big success! The parade float looked great and both the greased pig contest and chicken poop bingo boards went well!
The chapter POA (Program of Activities) has also been completed and submitted to the state FFA office prior to the deadline.
FFA Fruit and Meat sales will be beginning soon! Look for information to be distributed in your Ag classes.
Dates, Looking Ahead:
National FFA Convention will be in Indianapolis on the 3rd week of October. The National Ag Communications Team will be leaving after school on Monday, October 19th. All other chapter members attending will leave with Mr. Curran on the charter bus, early on Wednesday morning, October 21st. All members will be returning over the weekend, exact times and pickup locations to follow.
SED FFA Horse Judging will be on Saturday, November 7th at Fort Scott. If you're interested in judging, please let Mr. Curran, Mr. Boultinghouse, or Mr. Turner know soon!
SED FFA Leadership School will be on Friday, November 13th at Elk Valley. All Chapter officers and Greenhand Officers will be in attendance.
